Fisher's Half Birthday

I took Fisher to Dubuque a few weeks ago, where we met up with Nana, Aunt Carrie, and cousins. We stayed at a hotel with a waterpark and checked out the Mississippi River Museum. It was my first solo trip with Fisher and his first time swimming. He loved it.
Fisher is all about sticking out his tongue lately.
Derek spiked Fisher's hair the other day, as if it doesn't stick up enough already on its own.

Another hair shot, with Neko. Fisher really digs the dog--always trying to pet him.

I love the way he sucks his thumb--fingers splayed out like a wing. He only sucks it when he's tired or hungry, though I've been catching him suck more often lately. (See how his hair sticks up in the back naturally?)

For now, I'm enjoying the fact that he's easily entertained with cups, napkins, and whatnot when we go out to eat.
Fisher with Nana (note the tongue!)

This boy is definitely one of us--he loves the water. We already have him signed up for baby swim classes at the Y.

In the kiddie pool.

Our funny faces as we're getting blasted by the mister, which wasn't so misty. More like little needles.

Mesmerized by the water.

Fisher with his cousins (Payton, Zoey, and Cooper).

Getting ready to take him for his first "swim."

First time sitting up in his stroller (since we can no longer use his car seat adaptor!)

Celebrating Daddy's birthday.

Some Firsts...

Fisher has outgrown his infant carrier carseat, so now when we take him out he gets to sit up in carts and high chairs. It's a whole new world for him. He had his first trip to Minnesota last weekend, where we stayed with Ginelle, Garrett, and Belen. In addition to all this sitting up fun, he sprouted his two bottom front teeth!
His first time sitting up in a grocery cart at the store!

Happy as a lark in the tub. Now that he's too big for the small tub, we prop him up in the regular bath. He loves bath time now and even whines when we take him out of the water.

Check out that smirk.

There were just too many cute bath pics to choose from.

More bath time fun.

A goofy shot.

He loves to lean back in the excersaucer and laugh. I wish I understood his jokes, because he really seems to think they're funny.

Asleep in his new car seat after a long weekend.

Fisher really liked Ginelle from the start.

His second time in a high chair at a restaurant--all pimped out.

An inside joke between father and son.

My special guy.

Belen giving Fisher a hug. She kept saying "silly baby"--she was right on the mark.

His first time in a high chair at a restuarant.

Helping daddy drive.

We can no longer leave him unattended in his bouncy seat because he tries to slink his way out.

Hasn't quite figured out how to drink from his sippy cup.

He used to hate being on his tummy, and now he rolls over to sleep on his tummy for naps.

Another tummy shot.

We've had a few days of 40 degree weather, and we still have this much snow in our front yard.

Playing the drum.

Check out the dimples on those cheeks!

Chilling in the door jumper, which he loves now.

Swinging!
