I took Fisher to Dubuque a few weeks ago, where we met up with Nana, Aunt Carrie, and cousins. We stayed at a hotel with a waterpark and checked out the Mississippi River Museum. It was my first solo trip with Fisher and his first time swimming. He loved it.

Fisher is all about sticking out his tongue lately.

Derek spiked Fisher's hair the other day, as if it doesn't stick up enough already on its own.

Another hair shot, with Neko. Fisher really digs the dog--always trying to pet him.

I love the way he sucks his thumb--fingers splayed out like a wing. He only sucks it when he's tired or hungry, though I've been catching him suck more often lately. (See how his hair sticks up in the back naturally?)

For now, I'm enjoying the fact that he's easily entertained with cups, napkins, and whatnot when we go out to eat.

Fisher with Nana (note the tongue!)

This boy is definitely one of us--he loves the water. We already have him signed up for baby swim classes at the Y.

In the kiddie pool.

Our funny faces as we're getting blasted by the mister, which wasn't so misty. More like little needles.

Mesmerized by the water.

Fisher with his cousins (Payton, Zoey, and Cooper).

Getting ready to take him for his first "swim."

First time sitting up in his stroller (since we can no longer use his car seat adaptor!)

Celebrating Daddy's birthday.
