- {my story} I was born, raised, and currently reside in Iowa, though I spent some years in Minnesota and Wisconsin. While I am rooted to the Midwest, I have traveled extensively across the US and Europe. My current work is looking after, entertaining, teaching, and learning from two remarkable kids all the while trying to perfect the art of balance…being a mother, a poet, a thinker, and keeping up with exercise and health. I have yet to perfect all the “me’s” I need and strive to be but I’m working on it.
